Radio Sketch Writing

Wanna join the writing team for RTL, or just start honing your comedy writing skills for radio? Join us for a four week writing intensive! Think you can bring the funny? This is the place for you!

Sound Design

Learn how to take your audio creations to a new high! In Radio Theatre Lab, members do a lot of post-production on the pieces. New members can get up to speed in this four week intensive quickclass. We’ll show you how to touch up audio tracks and add the sound effects, foleys and scoring that make RTL come to life!

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I join RTL without any VO expereince?

You can definitely apply! Send us your demo reel, or request an interview and audition via Zoom

Do I have to take sketch writing or sound design to be able to apply?

It's recommended, but if you have writing chops already, you can submit samples for us to consider. Same with sound design: you can definitely show us some of your skillz!

Does it cost to be in RTL?

Once you are up to speed on writing, sound design, and performance, the Lab is free. It does require a consistent commitment for 10 weeks at a time. In addition to the two classes offered here, Liz also offers voiceover classes through storyqueststudios.com or through studioecanada.com.
